Join the Waitsfield-Fayston Fire Department

WHO CAN APPLY?

We welcome any person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and love for their community to join us at the Waitsfield-Fayston Fire Department.

In order to apply you must:
 

• Must be 18

  • Can enter junior position at 15, 16, 17 

• Work well with others, take directions, capable of operating under high stress conditions

• Ability to lift at least 50lbs for an extended period of time

• Ability to obtain at minimum fire fighter 1 certificate if planning on going interior.  

• Must be able to pass a background check

• Must have the ability to attend at minimum 8 trainings a year (trainings are held the first two Wednesday of each month)

Previous fire experience not required but always welcome
